The First Time of Satellite Network Coordination Conference between China and United Arab Emirates Was Held in Beijing

The first time of Satellite Network Coordination Conference between China and United Arab Emirates administrations was held in Beijing from March 25 to 29, 2019. The conference set 48 topics for discussion involved various services and applications such as satellite fixed and broadcast, covering L, S, C, Ku and Ka bands. Under the ITU framework, the coordination meeting on frequency sharing of satellite network was held based on the principle of mutual trust and mutual benefit and achieved positive results. During the meeting, both sides reached a series of consensus and signed the minutes.

Xie Cun, the deputy director general at the Bureau of Radio Regulation (BRR) of MIIT led the Chinese delegation consisting of delegates from BRR, the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio Film and Television, the State Radio Spectrum Management Center, Beijing Institute of Trail and Telecom Technology, CASIC, Spacesat, China Satcom, Office of the Communications Authority of Hong Kong, Asia Broadcast Satellite Ltd, etc. Mr. Ahmad Amin led the United Arab Emirates delegation consisting of delegates from Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) of the United Arab Emirates, Yahsat and Thuraya.
