The Vice Minister of MIIT Chen Zhaoxiong met with the Director General of Macao post and Telecommunications Bureau Liu Huiming and her party. Both sides exchanged views on mainland telecommunication regulation, 5G development plan, telecommunication network construction in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (The China Great Bay Area), balance between big date and privacy protection.  

Chen said that Macao may learn from mainland on telecommunication regulation and 5G development, to promote self-development. Meanwhile, Chen suggested Macao develop internet service actively combined with geographical advantage, to achieve economy transformation and upgrading.  

Person in charge of MIIT Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office, Information Communication Development Division, Information Communication Bureau and Network Security Bureau attended the meeting.
