BRR Completed Radio Control Task of the BRICS Summit

On the afternoon of September 5th,
the ninth BRICS Summit came to a successful end in Xiamen. To ensure the
security of using radio frequency during the meeting, the Bureau of Radio
Regulation (BRR) of MIIT deployed and worked carefully, coordinated frequency
demand of all parties, supervised the usage of wireless equipments, purified
the electromagnetism environment efficiently, finally completed the radio
security safeguard task of the BRICS Summit successfully.
As another significant home field diplomacy
activity followed ‘One Belt One Road’ Forum in 2017, the BRICS Summit was given
a lot of attention in the domestic and overseas. Leaders of MIIT paid highly
attention to the radio security safeguard task, demanded to spare no effort to
complete the task. Chen Zhaoxiong and Liu Lihua, the Vice Ministers of the
Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) examined works in Xiamen
Radio Management Command Center respectively. The Radio Security Safeguard
Group consist of 16 sectors and units coordinated by BRR of MIIT strengthen the
responsibility of Fujian BRR, focus on the frequency using safeguard of head of
state, meeting and activity, security and civil aviation. On a national scale,
740 people worked on the radio controlling during the meeting; 500 more fixed
monitoring stations were started; 100 more monitoring vehicles employed; accumulative
total ninety-four-thousand hours supervision and assessment; investigated and
treated 405 cases of illegal use of frequency; assigned 479 (pair) frequencies;
issued device verification labels more than 11 thousands. During the BRICS
Summit, all of radio equipments operated normally and none of harmful
interference case occurred.
